Doi Suthep
Take a trip to Chiangmai’s ancient temples on this half-day tour.
Explore historic and religious monuments from Wat Doi Suthep, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phalat.
Marvel at the panoramic views of Chiangmai city and the architecture of historical Buddhist and Hindu relics.
The most popular activities are visiting the popular attractions along the main road like spectacular waterfalls, Bhubing Palace (Royal Residence) and Doi Pui mountain & village.
Doi Inthanon
Go on a full day tour to the highest peak in Thailand, Doi Inthanon which is also known as “The roof of Thailand” rises to a height of 2565 meters (8, 415 feet) above sea level.
The peak of Doi Inthanon is the most popular spot in the park, mainly for its great view, but also for watching the sunrise.
Two Chedis not too far south from the summit facing west is more popular for its sunset view.
Take a walk in the Ang Ka Luang Nature Trail, habitat around the boardwalk is magical, very dense, mossy, lush forest all year round.
This trail is highly recommended.
Doi Inthanon National Park has many waterfalls, some easily accessible from the main road through the national park, only a few hundred meters off from the road.
The water flow is good all year round but most impressive during the rainy season from May to November.
During the cold and dry seasons the water is more clear and more suitable for swimming if possible, but most waterfalls are very rocky, swimming possibilities are very limited.
Few of the recommended waterfalls are listed below.
- Wachirathan Waterfall
- Sirithan Waterfall
- Siriphum Waterfall
Elephant Sanctuary
It is worlds away from the white sandy beaches in the south of Thailand, and surrounded by vast forest areas dotted with waterfalls, rivers and mountains.
Visiting Chiangmai Elephant Land is a chance to see some of this amazing scenery as the elephants get to roam around in their own hidden jungle paradise!
It’s well worth it as the one day tour here includes meeting the elephants, making traditional elephant medicine, feeding breakfast to the elephants and taking a scenic walk into the jungle with the majestic animals.
Also, join the elephants in a mud pool, and even bathe under a waterfall with them.
San Kampeng Hot Springs
This Hot Spring is a great day trip in Chiangmai.
Water that rushes from the ground at 105 degrees Celsius has been harnessed to provide an attraction with a surprising number of things to do.
The swirling steam is magical, and the sulphur water is supposed to make you feel as strong as a superhero.
Weirdly and awesomely, boiling eggs is a huge attraction at San Kampaeng Hot Springs.
Bet you have never been somewhere specifically to boil an egg before!
